Jesus Gutierrez

Hello , My name is Jesus Gutierrez. An Audio Engineer living in Washington D.C . My experience consists of Recording/ Mixing in Live and Studio environments along with, A/V System assembly & Sound System deployment and operation for Live Events .

I got my start with a general interest for Music , Which led me to an internship at Blueroom Productions ( Recording studio , Bethesda MD ). There i learned the basics of signal flow , EQ & Compression . Soon after, I sought out a studio and local bands where i could host Recording sessions and began putting my newly acquired knowledge to work.

Then, After many attempts and sent emails i got a role as a House Engineer at “ The Pocket DC “ a 75 capacity Music Venue that hosts shows regularly . There I was introduced to the world of Live Sound . I found myself submerged in constant search for knowledge of Audio Systems. I continued and mixed shows there for two years at which point the job became too easy. So i searched for more venues that could challenge my knowledge of Audio Systems .

As of Today, (2026 ) i have Mixed Over 1000 shows ( and counting ) at Venues such as Jammin Java , DC9 , Black Cat , Comet Ping Pong , Crescendo and The Pocket . I also maintain, upkeep and deploy a medium scale Sound System for DIY Events ( with a few friends who are also in the Industry ).

I continue to posses an interest for Music & play Bass however, it has evolved . I am fascinated by the science of Sound and Electricity . My 5 year goal is to get an Electrical Engineering Bachelors Degree from UMD and Tour the United States as a Systems Engineer.
